Cerberus Brewing Co. is a Colorado Springs brewery located in the sweet spot between the nightlife and entertainment of Downtown Colorado Springs and the heritage and history of Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. Launched in the fall of 2016, Cerberus began with the ambitious goal of becoming the go-to spot for dining, socializing and, of course, drinking excellent craft beer. We wanted to be the local brewery, but we also want to be more. Our vision was to excel as a community hub, to be a place where you could stop in with your dog for a lazy day in the beer garden, gather the crew for an impromptu happy hour or get decked out with your honey for a night out on the town.
The day we launched our business, the line was out the door. We hit the ground running that minute and have not stopped since. In fact, we loved what we did so much that we purchased a second establishment right across the street and launched Seven’s Gate Taproom in 2022. Both locations serve Cerberus beers, but Seven’s Gate also serves a variety of guest beers from other craft breweries — local, state, national and even international selections.
It doesn’t take much to define our mission. It comes down to the three core principles that guide our business every step of the way: Good beer, good food and good deeds. It really is that simple.
Good Beer
Craft beer is our passion, our raison d’etre, the cornerstone of our small business. As it should be, right? We launched Cerberus because we love the art of brewing. We also really, really, really love drinking good beer. We have developed a mighty list of signature brews, but we aren’t afraid to experiment. After all, our next great creation won’t be found on a trail we’ve already tread, right?
Cerberus beer is brewed using quality ingredients. We select superior hops, yeast and add-ins to ensure that each pour achieves our goal to make a guest’s eyes light up with joy. The best thing to hear in the brewery is just how hard it is to pick a favorite. It’s hard for us, too. Fortunately, we work here.
Good food
You can have superior craft beer and mediocre food, but why would you want to? You need a hearty meal to soak up that 9% ABV beer you just ordered and a few measly peanuts or stale pretzels are not going to cut it. Don’t worry, we’ve got you.
Our craft food menu is a delicious ode to the pub foods we all love — but a lot more elevated. We source only the best ingredients, make our sauces in-house, develop seasonal dishes and always strive to send our guests off full and happy.
Good Deeds
We would not be here without the support of our community. It is your patronage that keeps the doors open and we are forever grateful for it. That’s why Cerberus works hard to give back to the city that we are so proud to call home. We create charity beers, offer pint nights and also participate in sponsorships, all in an effort to help others in the Pikes Peak region.
Our favorite causes? Bikes, trails and dogs. It’s a bit of a Colorado stereotype, but what can we say? Bikes are rad. Trails are endless adventures waiting to happen. And dogs? They’re dogs. So, just know that when you order up a charity beer or pop in for one of our pint nights, you’re helping out your community and having a hell of a good time doing it. You’re supporting a local craft brewery that supports local causes and that’s something we can all raise a pint to.
